Come Rack! Come Rope! is a historical novel by the English priest and writer Robert Hugh Benson. Benson was a convert to Catholicism from Anglicanism. He set the plot of his novel in Derbyshire at the time of the Elizabethan persecution of Catholics. At those times, being or harboring a Catholic priest was considered treason and was punishable by death. The book tells the story of two young lovers.
